Senior Lead Analytics Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to join the Consumer Lending Monitoring Development team within Front Line Monitoring. Your work will be used to demonstrate that these controls over key business processes are working as intended, mitigate known risks, and identify emerging risks. Your expertise will contribute to a strong analytical foundation that consolidates information across interactions, customers, team members and products. This foundation will, in turn, lead to the development of key metrics that will enhance the risk and control environment for the Home Lending business.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct analysis to support the implementation of data-driven alerting & surveillance within the Home Lending business control environment
• Identify and implement complex, data-driven, consistent processes of monitoring with emphasis on operational, compliance, and conduct risk
• Collaborate with colleagues across your team, Control Management, Governance, and Front-Line Operations to implement a program for routine reviews of data-driven monitoring, communication, and continuous refinement of metrics
• Leverage advanced data analytics to identify patterns and trends and provide insights on the effectiveness of risk detection and monitoring processes
• Responsible for supporting the roll-out of detection strategies and assessing them for optimization and efficiency opportunities
• Leverage both structured and unstructured data to provide insight into risk trends and help improve risk and monitoring processes
• Partner closely with leaders across Home Lending to identify and optimize the ongoing risk analysis and reporting necessary to support first line accountability for operational risk, compliance risk, conduct risk, and other key risks

Required Qualifications, US:

• 7 years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 6 years in a Business or Risk/Compliance Analytics role

• Knowledge of Home Lending processes, data, and systems

• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to analyze data across a variety of sources including but not limited to Teradata, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server

• Ability to translate complex analytics into easily understood insights

• Ability to develop actionable data analytics and data strategies to inform, influence, and drive business outcomes

• SAS and SQL experience, with the ability to write complex queries

• Effective leadership ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans; ability to plan, prioritize and set goals.

• Ability to lead through adversity and adjust to changing priorities

• Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization

• Excellent collaborative skills

• Ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulatory examiners and internal auditors

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
