What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Specialist position at Wells Pharmacy Network?
The warehouse/receiving specialist assists supervisor in planning, organizing and monitoring the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from suppliers, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation. The supervisor makes sure that all supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receives all incoming shipments from commercial vendors
· Exceptional attention through 5s organizational practices with all company inventory
· Reconciles inventory within company software and dispenses inventory to correct department upon arrival
· Maintains and secures multiple warehouses of inventory, keeps accurate records of overstock on hand and manages the logistics of incoming purchase orders
· Sorts, counts, and logs inventory received; stages overstock inventory per 5 s standards
· Manages the distribution of inventory throughout company departments and logs activity within PK and/or Guardian software
· Traces shipments and/or vendor claims of lost or pending shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents, receipts, purchase orders, etc
· Performs routine audits of inventory through cycle counts
· Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
· Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalent REQUIRED, College or equivalent PREFERRED
- Pharmacy Technician experience, 1 year minimum Preferred
