Bulk Expeditor

Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies with customer service and buyers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Send HOT and export orders to the production floor and follow through to make sure shipped promptly or cancelled as required.
• Communicate with customer service regarding HOT and export orders.
• Process sample requests as needed.
• Ensure skills, abilities and knowledge evolve to keep pace with changes in technology, our industry and specific job requirements.
• Interface with Fond Du Lac engineering, customer service and buyers.
• Continually meet and exceed personal goals and objectives in support of departmental and business goals and objectives.
• Cross train to other departmental positions to serve as back up.
• Other job activities as assigned.

Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year or technical school or six months to one-year related experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and to communicate to other facilities by phone and electronic communication forms
• Math skills used add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
• Critical thinking skills to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Basic computer skills including but not limited to a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
