Cycle Counter

Summary:

This position is responsible for auditing and updating records of quantity, type and location of product stored as inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify WMS inventory records against physical count of stock and adjust errors in inventory or count or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
• Interface with engineering, customer service and buyers.
• Ensure skills, abilities and knowledge evolve to keep pace with changes in technology, our industry and specific job requirements.
• Continually meet and exceed personal goals and objectives in support of departmental and business goals and objectives.
• Cross train to other departmental positions to serve as back up.
• Other job activities as assigned.

Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

• High School Diploma required; 1-2 years prior experience preferred
• Successful completion of forklift training is required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and to communicate to other facilities by phone and electronic communication forms
• Math skills used to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
• Critical thinking skills to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form
• Basic computer skills including but not limited to a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including the generation of bar graphs

Equipment Used:

• Forklift, pallet jack

Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing Required (PPE):

• Safety harness when operating forklift
