Summary:
Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metrics. Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work. Review and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations. Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables. Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business. Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business. Collaborate and consult with leaders and executive management. Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with and engage with relevant business partners at varying levels in the organization to develop and maintain a strong control environment through effective RCSA execution and related activities that lead to early identification and sustainable mitigation of risks.
- Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for
- complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines.
- Act as key support for the RCSA team, providing direction, gathering escalation, overall tracking of team’s progress in the RCSA life cycle
- Support RCSA related efforts to review evaluate business artifacts including risk and controls, Operational Risk Questionnaire, Fact Pack, Quality Results, etc. Providing direction and opportunities to consider.
- Track and escalate Change Requests, Business Environment Changes
- Support reporting, timelines and routines for RCSA life cycle
- Attend meetings or establish routines to stay in touch with Facilitation teams process or provide guidance.
- Ensure program changes are communicated in a timely manner to the Facilitation teams with clear direction on impacts to the RAU in the works.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Project Support/ Project management skills – Ability to provide direction, track progress, and ensure alignment with program requirements.
- Experience in Risk and Control Management (RCSA)
- Strong understanding of risk types including operational and compliance risks.
- Ability to track and escalate Change Requests/ adapt to business environment changes
- Sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Power Point)
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to create Pivot Tables and conduct VLookups.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with various levels of management, including executives.
- Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.
- Should have a sound understanding of Risk management principles
- Knowledge of Consumer Banking products and services.
- Background in Financial Services or other regulated industry.
