Position Summary
Perform a variety of accounting tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable records, invoices, and other accounts payable functions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
- Accounts payable experience required (5 years).
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Healthcare accounting preferred.
- FQHC experience preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in Abila MIP and SAP Concur preferred
- Strong accounts payable experience.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to succeed in team environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
- Must have valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial close process for accounts payable.
- Lead the invoice processing and payments using the accounts payable invoice software and physical check payments.
- Reconcile company credit cards using the accounts payable invoice software.
- Research invoice problems and resolve issues with vendors.
- Lead the employee reimbursements and payments using the payroll reimbursement software and physical check payments.
- Assist in E-Requisitions and Purchase Orders using the accounting software.
- Assist in tracking and maintenance of inventory and fixed assets.
- Lead and perform inventory counts.
- Lead the preparation of 1099/1095 statements.
- Lead and perform petty cash audits.
- Perform positive pay reporting to banking institutions.
- Assist in document and record filing for the accounts payable department.
- Assist in audit preparations.
- Assist in budget planning.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work environment is characteristic of an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and arms to reach. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care. The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
