General Summary

Formulates and defines project request scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Determines scope of effort and applicable staffing to meet project request demands, with an emphasis on vendor relationship management, identification of and procurement of resources, and management of all aspects of consulting. Works in close collaboration with project leadership to drive organizational agility, responsiveness, and achievement of outcomes. Scope of Influence: Works with business and clinical leaders/sponsors, other applications/ technical team members, Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts on specific project tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Performs analysis of business and user needs and assists customers with understanding and completing project request documentation for requirements of proposed business solutions. Works with customers, contract resource vendors, and minimal IT resources to expand project requests into detailed project scope, cost, and requirements.
  • Coordinates implementation of departmental system optimizations and special projects, including completion of workflow analysis, scoping, planning/scheduling, testing and roll out to production system. Provides recommendation for resourcing internally and externally to demonstrate agility in responding to project requests and timelines in support of organizational priorities.
  • Evaluates staffing demand needs related to projects and new initiatives and develop a proactive, innovative assessment and recruitment strategy to identify, recruit, select and onboard the industry's top consultants.
  • Responsible for executing a proactive, innovative, cost-effective recruitment strategy including demand-based interviewing, to meet or exceed delivery service level agreements. Reviews / approves all outside contractor agreements, expenses, and invoicing. Responsible for procurement and oversight of functions related to all outside (non-WellSpan) contractor functions for application related work.
  • Assesses ongoing performance of contracted resources and provides corrective action as necessary.
  • Assists project leadership team with project coordination, portfolio/roadmap upkeep, and assist with complex coordination among teams and operational areas. Defines, tracks and reports project metrics.
  • Assists in coordinating projects with the Application Quarterly Upgrade process. Ensures development of relevant test plans and schedules resources; coordinates script creation and updates; ensures application testing is tracked and completed, reporting variances; assigns test tasks to project team and controls workloads; coordinates related go live support during upgrade implementations. Facilitates team collaboration with staff and outside resources.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • 5 years Some Project Management, Business or Systems Analyst background. Required and
  • Large system or cloud EHR or ERP implementation and support experience. Required
  • Healthcare experience. Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of healthcare operations, excellent business relationship skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize projects and work, manage service level agreements and meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Broad knowledge of current technology and understanding of computer applications, especially healthcare systems.
  • Excellent communications and analysis/problem solving skills.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to function under pressure.
  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, independent thinking and management competencies.
