Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Senior Director-Physician Recruitment, organizes and conducts Advanced Practice Provider (APP) recruitment to meet both current and anticipated staffing needs on behalf of WellSpan. Responsible for sourcing and screening candidates to bring top talent to the organization. Coordinates initial interview and subsequent visits and initiates credentialing and hiring processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with service line leaders and recruitment team to identify needs and selection of appropriate APP candidates.
- Works with service lines to develop practice profile, job posting and marketing plan to recruit APPs.
- Develops and implements innovative recruitment strategies to proactively address current and future APP needs. Builds strong relationships with service line leaders and serves in consulting relationship regarding recruitment needs.
- Utilizes robust sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates in alignment with organizational goals. Includes ad development, leveraging candidate databases, outreach to qualified and targeted APPs through social media, mail, and other communication channels.
- Obtains CVs and ensures background searches are completed.
- Screens qualified applicants and provides summary presentation to service line leaders for review. Facilitates the interview and hiring process with practice and department leadership.
- Recommends salary offers in accordance with organizational guidelines for approval by the hiring executive.
- Makes job offers and negotiates salaries as needed in conjunction with leadership. Develops and secures signed agreements with new hire.
- Represents WellSpan at career fairs, educational events, and other venues to attract qualified candidates.
- Gains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field, continually updating the team and organizational leaders to maintain competitive advantage. Implements innovative and best practice approaches as needed.
- Meet with students in clinical rotations to ensure students are aware of job opportunities within WellSpan.
- Maintains knowledge of current WellSpan employee offerings, benefits, salary structures, etc. Provides information related to culture and benefits to potential candidates, which promotes WellSpan as both the provider of choice and the employer of choice.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and correspondence files such as status of openings and candidate databases.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: 2 - 3 years of recruitment experience
Preferred Experience: Healthcare recruitment
Min Field Of Expertise: Healthcare or human services
Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary work; Occasional prolonged standing/walking; Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment
Working Conditions: Subject to many interruptions; Occasionally subjected to irregular hours; Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; Intermediate to advanced level computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite; Analytical ability to conduct recruitment searches; Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement and discretion; Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
