Summary


Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Fitness and Human Performance, involved in the assessment, training, and teaching of a variety of people who attend Results Fitness Center.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides training and assistance to individuals and groups by demonstrating and assisting with a routine of exercises
  • Advises individuals on the correct method of exercising with resistance training equipment, exercise bikes, treadmills and other training and exercise machines
  • Provides instruction in a variety of fitness activities
  • Assists in the cleaning and general maintenance of the center and ensures that equipment is maintained and correctly set up
  • Works on the reception counter to take bookings or provide information about facilities

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education:
    • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Prior experience with exercise.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Occasional prolonged standing/walking
    • Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
    • Lifts supplies/equipment
    • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
    • Occasional heavy physical effort (lift/carry 26 to 50 lbs)
