What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurosurgeon- Endovascular position at WellSpan Health?
WellSpan Health is seeking a board certified, fellowship-trained endovascular neurosurgeon for our comprehensive stroke center at WellSpan York Hospital, with 5 feeder hospitals which are designated primary stroke centers. This is an opportunity to be part of a premier team with an established practice.
Position Highlights:
- Partner with two nationally recognized, Endovascular surgeons supported by 4 APPs delivering advanced care for complex stroke cases.
- Provide neurointerventional care to patients at WellSpan York Hospital, the only WellSpan facility in York, Adams, Lancaster, and Lebanon counties with neuroendovascular surgery capabilities and to have earned Comprehensive Stroke Center designation making it the regional referral center for stroke.
- Utilize a biplane Angio suite and second biplane OR for neuroendovascular procedures. Block OR time available.
- WellSpan York Hospital’s stroke program manages 4,000 strokes alerts/TIAs, 350 transfers from Primary Stroke Centers for surgical/advanced medical stroke care, and 1,200 endovascular cases annually…and growing rapidly.
- Highly supportive service line management with physician leadership
- Open vascular and general cranial expertise with willingness to do general trauma and related spine cases.
- Background in clinical research and teaching is welcome
