Responsible for responding to and resolving team members’ benefit questions and requests; processing benefit
transactions, communicating with insurance vendors regarding eligibility and other benefit issues, inputting data into
and retrieving information from HR/Payroll, Timekeeping and Benefit Enrollment systems related to benefits,
managing benefit documentation, conducting benefit audits with vendors, managing plan responsibility and assisting
with the open enrollment process.
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; or combination of experience and training equivalent
to Bachelor’s degree. Minimum – High School Diploma
Preferred Minimum Certification: PHR/SPHR and/or SCP-SHRM / CP-SHRM preferred, CEBS a plus.
Required Minimum Experience: At least 1-2 years of work experience in Human Resources, with 6 months or more
of employee benefits experience preferred.
Required Minimum Skills: Basic knowledge of Employee Benefits; skills in communication, customer service,
problem solving and benefits administration. Benefits compliance knowledge a plus. Experience in multitasking and
prioritizing multiple responsibilities. Must possess good communication skills verbally and in writing, interact and work
effectively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds, and be able to maintain
safety in the workplace, including maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Basic knowledge of legislation
and regulations affecting benefit plans such as ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, USERRA, FLSA, etc.
Operating knowledge and experience with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point proficiency.
Knowledge of HRIS/HRMS systems as well as bswiift and/or other benefits administration applications/platforms
preferred.
