Job Summary
This Director reports to the Executive Director of IT Enterprise Computing and will oversee servers, storage, virtulization. This individual leads teams that deliver server services, capacity planning, support application technical platforms supporting infrastructure planning and business continuity and disaster recovery services. Develops near-term tactical plans and a strategic, longer-range roadmap to increase automation, improve efficiency and service quality, and reduce overall cost of ownership. Establishes measurable goals, objectives and operating procedures for Enterprise IT.
The Director supports the strategic business plans, applications, and all related matters for computerized information technology for departments and facilities. Manages customer deliverables and expectations as they relate to day-to- day support and operations. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. Provides an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Understands user and process requirements and ensures those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Works closely with systems administrators and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.

Required Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is required.
- Minimum 8 years in information technology, including a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role is required.
- Minimum 3 years in healthcare is preferred.
- Experience with Security, Networks and Telecom is required. Experience with Servers, Storage, Citrix/Horizon/App/Desktop Virtualization, and Cloud Infrastrucutre within a large enviornment is strongly preferred.
- Experience implementing complex and integrated information systems is required.
- Technical foundation required is required.
- Excellent Project Management skills including practical usage of Microsoft Project, knowledge of Basic Network, Telecommunication, and Security Operations, Virtual Application delivery (including operating systems, utilities, Microsoft Office Products, etc.).
- Strong communication, presentation and customer relation skills.
- Must have the ability to influence others to work collaboratively to achieve results.
- Able to understand and relate to the interdependencies/impact of Information Systems on the operation of the WellStar Health System.
