Diabetes Care Specialist - Intake

Wellstart is a durable medical equipment (DME) supplier of continuous glucose monitors, insulin pump supplies, and other diabetes testing supply products. The Company provides patients with education, support, and access to a fast, simple, and reliable way to obtain diabetes supplies on a recurring basis.

Position:

An opportunity to join a fast-growing organization, Wellstart is seeking a Diabetes Care Specialist to join our intake team to process referral orders for customers seeking to obtain diabetes testing supplies from the Company which are reimbursed by a third-party insurance company.

Responsibilities:

• Service diabetes supply orders via inbound and outbound calls for new customers and repeat order opportunities in a courteous, professional manner.
• Strive for same day order processing for referrals and clearly document or communicate any difficulty or missing information which may hold up and order being shipped to a customer.
• Obtain, verify, and discuss insurance and clinical documentation to justify coverage for reimbursement of supplies by the customer’s insurance company.
• Understand the products being ordered and clearly articulate any co-pay or financial responsibility the customer may have before confirming the order.
• Work with the Company’s sales team to obtain necessary information to facilitate the referral process as well as articulating any issues with referrals.
• Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Skilled typing ability and knowledge of personal computers and software, in particular Microsoft Office, and other systems the Company uses on a daily basis.
• Available and flexible in scheduling to meet the changing business requirements of a small, fast growing organization.

Education and Experience:

• 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in intake, customer service, or new patient enrollment for a DME supplier or similar company.
• The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.'
