At our WellStone Emergency Services (WES) facility, we treat adult clients in mental health crisis. The Cook has a goal of ensuring that all clients in both WES and our Acute Care facility have quality food prepared for them to make sure that they can receive the nourishment they need to continue their treatment process. This position is full-time, with rotating shifts.

What We're Looking For
- High School / GED Certificate
- Ability to pass Food Handler’s Certification
- Ability to follow recipes, read and measure
- Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, and stand for longer periods of time
- Ability to work Holidays
- Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared according to the menu. Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for cooking
- Verify prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
- Serve clients/patients meals during scheduled times
- Clean kitchen area, utensils, food preparation areas and surfaces
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Operate kitchen machinery such as oven, blender, mixer, microwave, dishwasher, etc.
- Clean, stock and restock workstations and pantry
- Seal, protect and store left over food items in appropriate place (i.e. refrigerator)
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Collect and dispose of refuse, empty trashcans
- Clean and sanitize bathroom areas, toilets, showers and sinks
- Dust and/or wipe down surfaces as needed, clean windows
- Other duties as assigned
