Quality Clerk - Packaging

Description

Overview of the Position: Primarily performs special packaging requirements for PMA product. Utilizes various hand held equipment to perform relabeling and part marking and serialization of PMA product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repackage PMA parts per drawing requirements
• Label/re-label PMA parts per drawing requirements
• Handle special packaging requirements of distribution parts
• Maintain the oil room and facilitate oiling of parts
• Build PMA kits
• Assist QE or inspection lab with serialization of parts and other duties as assigned
• Dispose of product that has been designated as scrap
• Plan and coordinate daily activities to maximize efficiency and meet departmental goals
• Other duties as necessary and assigned

Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and related data collection functions.
• Previous quality assurance or aerospace industry related experience is a plus.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Vision Requirements:
  • Minimum 20/25 corrected vision.
  • Pass Color Vision eye exam.

• Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Is frequently required to talk or listen.
• Works in moderate noise levels.
• Minimal travel required.
