What are the responsibilities and job description for the ROUTER position at Wendy's?
Job Summary:
The position of the Router is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week.
The Router shall be responsible for routing, answering phone calls from drivers and sales representatives regarding delivery issues; and other miscellaneous administrative functions.
The Router shall be accountable to and supervised by, the Transportation Supervisor/Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Print labels, check sheets, and bulk pulls.
- Route deliveries via RoadNet.
- Process add-ons, reships, and rekeyed reships.
- Call the sales representatives and leave messages about reships.
- Look up the product to see if it is out of stock or if the product could be substituted.
- Call drivers and helpers to let them know of any scheduled changes (earlier start time, etc.)
- Print manifests, write the pick-ups on manifests and make copies.
- Look up stops for billing when the invoices do not match the manifest.
- Make sure the door sheet is correct before leaving (correct times, drivers, trucks, etc.).
- Perform the maintenance in RoadNet.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented with good follow-up skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to multitask and handle a busy workload in order to meet strong deadlines.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experienced in RNA RoadNet.
- Experience in Omni Tracks
- Experience in Strategic Planning
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent work-related experience.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
