Overview:

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for quality control for the production facility. This position is responsible for meeting internal standards and carries out a variety of quality functions to support production.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)


Lead quality inspections and testing to ensure quality criteria conformance.

  • Provide support to address quality issues on the shop floor.
  • Conduct first article inspection and documentation of pre-pilot, pilot and production product processes.
  • Conducts incoming inspection and quality control in process checks.
  • Conduct audit testing as required.
  • Assists in leading 8D teams to solve quality and process issues.
  • Assists in implementing ISO standards including 9001 and 17025.
  • Develops internal standards as needed.
  • Create all required documentation as part of duties.
  • Evaluation of rejects and determination of appropriate actions needed to be taken.
  • Assist in supplier qualifications and new product development.
  • Understand and follow Quality Management System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in quality control.
  • Must have a moderate understanding of quality process and requirements.
  • Possess general knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Possess skills to use Windows based programs.
  • Be able to read and understand drawings.
  • Be able to evaluate product with current measuring equipment and be willing to learn new measuring equipment.
  • Have good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of Associates up to and including Senior Management.
  • Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s preferred.

Computer Skills
  • MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • ERP system experience, such as JDE and SAP.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn LabVIEW and similar testing software

Special Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, far and near activity, depth perception, visual accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift at the minimum 50 lbs.

Salary : $77,500 - $98,100
