Position Description:  This position is responsible for working within the established I.T. Department to provide professional and technical support for Prestress Services systems and networks in the following areas: general system administration, network administration, cloud administration, and end user systems and application support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Administration of MS Windows Active Directory environment, as well as application servers within that environment.
  • Resolve basic technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and MS Windows workstation and server operating systems.
  • Respond to end user hardware and software requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of the local technology infrastructure.
  • Accurately maintain inventories of computer systems and applications. Control additions, deletions and changes in equipment assigned to the users within the company.
  • Monitor daily backups of the server systems and operation of other mission critical business unit infrastructure.
  • Provide timely communication \ notification of any identified systems failures.
  • Assist with other I.T. related projects as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, procedure, and standards relating to infrastructure systems, applications and services.
  • Address daily user support tickets to help ensure and maintain availability of all I.T. related resources.
  • Perform other duties as necessary. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information services, computer science, operations, management, or a related field and/or a minimum of 1 year of related experience, where professional capabilities have been clearly demonstrated, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and appropriate certifications such as A , Network , MCP or MCSE.
  • Desktop\systems support and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of Windows Server administration, active directory and its associated services.
  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 installation and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and associated applications.
  • Experience supporting multi-function printer and scanners.
  • Able to assist with Android and iPhone configuration.
  • Understanding of malware/spyware/anti-virus software.
  • Understanding of fundamentals related to LAN/WAN computer environments and concepts.
  • Able to effectively operate in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Growing interpersonal and communication skills in a professional and effective manner. 
  • Able to occasionally travel by car to remote office / plant locations (<10%)

This position travels regularly by motor vehicle, and occasionally by train and air.
