Groundskeeper

Do you have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a team as well as independently?  If so, THIS is the job for you!  Wesbury is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our highly skilled Grounds Team to keep Wesbury’s Campus beautifully maintained year-round! 

Job summary:

Assists in maintaining the overall physical appearance of the exterior of the Wesbury campus. 

Responsibilities:

Mow and string trim assigned areas.

Trim and maintain plants, shrubs, and trees in assigned areas.

Keep assigned areas free and clear of garbage, debris, and safety hazards.

Installs landscape plantings as directed.

Operates various handheld equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, lawn edgers, sidewalk edgers, chainsaws, and pruners.

Operates and maintains equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, skid steers, and tractors.

Drives pickup trucks, dump trucks, passenger vehicles and occasionally vans, lifts or non-CDL buses.

Operates plow trucks in winter as well as various salt spreading equipment.

Shovels snow from walks and maintains slip free environment.

Maintains ground care equipment, as well as trucks and tractors.

Assists with external resident moves.

Assists with resident patio furniture storage, rummage sales, picnics, external set-ups, and teardowns.

Transfers/ moves medical, accounting, and human resource records to off campus storage.

Stores rummage items, books, and donated items for resale.

Assists maintenance with villa turnover preparation.

Qualifications:

High School graduate with lawn care and/or landscape experience.  Able to lift up to 100lbs. Valid PA driver's license.  Ability to run, operate, and maintain all types of lawn care equipment.  Safety conscious and able to be on call for winter snow removal.  Attention to detail and ability to complete work without direct supervision.
