Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician must be able to execute work orders and scheduled preventive maintenance and various other duties as assigned by the maintenance director. Working cooperatively with other departments, employees, and the maintenance department. Economical and efficient use of facility time and supplies.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Makes repairs of all electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration, safety and fire equipment and other facility equipment as directed by the maintenance director.
- Carries out preventative maintenance program by repairing and /or replacing parts according to schedules.
- Cleans and maintains lighting, fans, heating units, etc.; Cleans ice maker.
- Keeps Maintenance director informed of problems with equipment, buildings, and grounds.
- Check pumps, motors, plumbing repairs and installation, air conditioning, refrigeration, heating systems, hot water.
- Hook up and adjust TV's.
- Assumes on-call responsibilities as scheduled on weekends, holidays or emergency situations using cell phone.
- Assists with emergencies when directed by maintenance director as needed throughout the facility.
Requirements:
- Previous experience preferred.
- Must be able to work without supervision.
- Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing, bending and lifting.
- Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
