- Manage Wesche's scope of a building project from project estimation to close-out documents. Project Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding customers' expectations throughout each project.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Estimating / Bidding Projects
- Read blue prints and specifications to understand project needs
- Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to check product availability, cost, and lead time
- Send off quote requests to suppliers to gather accurate cost information
- Use price books to pull together cost of products
- Communicate with contractors and architects to ask questions about the project to ensure bid accuracy
- Learn about new products to stay up to date on the most recent offerings
- Ensure that estimated project meets codes
- Put together all cost information to prepare and submit a bid to the contractor
- Handle any follow-up questions from the contractor and adjust bid as needed
Managing Projects
- Manage customer’s expectations throughout the project
- Build a timeline of when items are needed and when to release items
- Communicate with owner and contractor to build a key schedule
- Coordinate ordering material so that items are on hand when needed
- Coordinate with delivery team and contractor to ensure items are onsite when needed.
- Assembling invoices for customers by tracking projects’ costs and material delivered.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects at one time
- Comfortable communicating via email, in-person, and by phone
- Excellent organization to keep projects on schedule
- High degree of accuracy in your work
Preferred:
- Experience reading blue prints and specifications
- Installation or familiarity with doors, frames, and hardware
- Experience with commercial construction
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Required proficiency in the use of computers for:
- Word processing
- Spreadsheets
- Internet
Bi-Annual bonuses given on top of annual salary.
