As the Online Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for leading all omnichannel merchandising activities across various Wesco digital properties. You are responsible and accountable for the digital performance of aligned product categories. While also being responsible for managing total revenue, traffic, conversion rate and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Define, execute, and manage merchandising strategies to shape our customers' omnichannel shopping experiences for aligned product categories.
- Develop product organization strategies, product assortment strategies, and product information strategies for aligned product categories.
- Provide strategic insights based on analyses of the digital capabilities, product assortment, and product categorization featured on industry and competitor websites.
- Communicate and drive business objectives, initiatives, and key results with multiple internal business partners (Category Management, Supplier Management, Master Data Management Team, etc.).
- Act as primary merchandising subject matter expert for the omnichannel product search and browse capabilities; partner closely with aligned Search Analysts to optimize the omnichannel product search experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred – Marketing, Sales, IT or related field
- At least seven (7) years of experience in digital/omnichannel merchandising with direct responsibility for channel execution, sales, and ROI performance.
- At least five (5) years of experience managing an online catalog product assortment and working product assortments through the product lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability in implementing research findings into actionable and profitable programs that help drive market differentiation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Category Management, Marketing, Pricing, and eCommerce/Omnichannel.
- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with sales reporting, profitability reporting, and financial analysis.
- Strong problem solving, influencing, and decision-making skills.
- Sales mentality and a proactive thinker who can translate corporate product management strategy into digital customer experiences
- Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
