A Day in The Life of a Warehouse Associate
As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for performing warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as general maintenance of assigned areas. You may also serve as a backup Driver operating a box truck to transport cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. * Must have a Driver's License and "satisfactory" driving record.
- Complete log sheets and handle inbound shipments
- Verify supplier returns and enter order receipts
- Relocate and consolidate material
- Prepare and assemble packing lists
- Pack, label, wrap, and load outbound trucks
- Drive a truck with capacity up to three tons and usually six wheels to transport materials
- Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
- Prepare delivery schedule
- Deliver materials to locations designated by the customer
- Obtain customer’s signature for proof of delivery and help to unload truck
- Perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries

Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- 1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment
