What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team leader position at Wessex Water?
Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have an opportunity within our Repair and Maintenance (R&M) team.
This role will see you travel across Dorchester and surrounding areas.
Our depot is located in Dorchester, but the works are site-based and daily travelling will be required.
What you'll do
As one of our R&M Supply Team leaders, working in the Network Utilities team, you'll carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance activities to the water supply network, making sure it meets the highest quality and customer service standards.
You'll be working within a great team, outdoors, dealing with different challenges every day and providing a vital service to our customers.
These jobs involve operating as part of a two-person team.
What you'll need
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to tow a trailer over 750kg.
- A current Streetworks licence.
- Good knowledge and experience of R&M activities, including large-diameter mains.
- 360 excavator licence (above and below 10 tonnes).
Experience or accrediation in the following areas would be preferred but not essential as training can be provided :
- Abrasive Wheels
- Asbestos Awareness
- Cable Avoidance
- EUSR (Water Hygiene)
- Face Fit
- Manual Handling
- Excavator as a crane
- SHEA Water
- EUSR Categories 3, 4, and 5
- Working at heights.
It is important to understand that you will be required to participate in out-of-hours standby rota as part of the role.
