Job Posting for Pv Solar System Designer at West Bay Energy
The PV System Designer will be responsible for creating plan sets for solar PV and storage projects in accordance with all code requirements and fulfill customer specifications. This role will involve collaborating with field technicians, engineers, and internal operations personnel to finalize the permitting package. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off (PTO) after 90 days of employment.
Compensation:$62,000 - $76,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Design the layout of the system, including module/array and battery placement, conduit, and access paths, as well as equipment locations.
- Create detailed plans for the PV system, from module level to the inverter, including single-line and three-line diagrams.
- Make necessary corrections based on client and AHJ feedback, and ensure plans are updated accordingly.
- Assist with the permitting process for the projects.
- Prepare a Bill of Materials (BOM) and provide support to project managers as required.
- The ideal candidate for the PV System Designer position should have at least 2 years of experience in the solar and storage field.
- It is important for the candidate to have a working knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
- The PV System Designer should be detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- The candidate must be a team player and able to collaborate effectively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills, are a must for the PV System Designer role.
