Forklift Operator
MANSFIELD
FORKLIFT OPERATOR
This role offers a challenging, diverse and exciting opportunity to become part of our Forklift team. The Forklift Operator must be experienced with a good safety and attendance record. The Forklift Operator will transfer lumber between various plant operations and comply with applicable safety regulations.
What you will do:
- Complete equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Transfer lumber between various plant operations and comply with applicable safety regulations.
- Perform the following key phases of Basic Care:
- Inspection of equipment
- Service and minor adjustments to the equipment (when necessary)
- Cleaning of the equipment
- Documentation and reporting of results
What you need to be successful:
Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high-volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must have:
- Excellent safety record
- Excellent attendance record
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be willing to perform all job assignments in an effective and timely manner with minimal supervision
- Must have forklift drivers experience, preferably 30K-35K Forklifts to qualify
- Ability to:
- Work in hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment
- Bend, twist, climb, stand throughout the duration of the shift
- To work rotating shift, holidays and weekends
- Lace up safety toed boots with 6” uppers are required
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Must successfully complete assessment tests, a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
