West Life is looking for newspaper reporters to help keep the West Side Communities informed about their governments, schools, and communities. Looking for versatile reporter with experience in hard news and feature writing. The ideal candidate would be adept at covering government, police and schools for our weekly publications. We are looking for someone to write compelling human interest stories, develop regional issues and dig deep for stories that affect our readers. Although this is a full-time position, we are also looking to connect with candidates who are interested in working part-time as well on a freelance basis. All candidates must have good news judgment and be deadline driven with top-notch writing and verbal skills. Some experience with editing and digital media is desired.
