What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity position at West Monroe?
West Monroe is hiring a Cybersecurity, Senior Manager to lead full lifecycle projects for Financial Services clients, including but not limited to security controls audits & remediation, risk advisory, compliance assessments, threat hunting, resiliency planning, application & cloud security, and/or strategy & roadmap development. Senior managers engage directly with client leadership to understand their IT structure and systems, identify security flaws, and lead teams in hardening the environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic cybersecurity consulting services for clients within our FinServ portfolio, ranging from policy definition to solution implementation & adoption
- Manage client relationships to determine project requirements and provide status updates; translate requirements into concrete proposals, including detailed work plans and cost estimates
- Leverage industry-recognized frameworks to lead risk assessments & controls audits of existing organization– compliance adherence, IT processes, personnel, technologies/tools– while developing implementation strategies and roadmaps to guide solution(s) delivery
- Lead junior consultants on projects, delegate workstreams, and act as career advisor/mentor
- Promote thought leadership in emerging Cybersecurity/FinServ technologies and trends through writing blogs & white papers, attending industry events, and contributing to Centers of Excellence
- Assist with business development at existing clients, looking for opportunities to cross-sell solutions
- Actively build a professional & affiliate network in Consulting, Cybersecurity, FinServ, and/or broader Tech communities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience required
- Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
- 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity w/ preference for Financial Services’ industry exposure
- Adept at leading IT risk assessments & controls audits using frameworks like NIST CSF
- Well-versed in leveraging compliance & privacy frameworks: PCI DSS, SOX, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR
- Experience leading/ delivering end-to-end solutions: people/consultant management, strategy/roadmap, design, solution development, implementation, change management, etc.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, COVID-19 permitting
- Bonus – BD/PD, Cloud Hardening (AWS/Azure), AppSec, Ransomware, M&A, IT Infrastructure
