Class Giving Associate

The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The WPAOG is seeking a Class Giving Associates to support WPAOG’s fundraising efforts for the Class Gift Funds. These position report directly to the Director of Class Giving.

The Class Giving Associate works as part of a high-performing, donor-centered team responsible for assisting the WPAOG achieve its annual giving goals. Using a suite of technological tools, this position is responsible for developing personal relationships with current and former class giving donors, as well as first time donors, that result in renewed or increased support. Using phone, email, texting, video conferencing, this position cultivates and stewards donors by providing information that deepens their understanding and connection to West Point, as well as solicits them for new gifts. The prospects pool for the Class Giving Associate consists of young alumni donors who previously supported their Firstie Class Gift, donors who previously supported their Class Gift Fund via military allotment, and donors who only supported West Point in the past via their Class Gift Fund.

A BA/BS Degree and prior fundraising experience is preferred. Experience with BlackBaud CRM or similar is also preferred. Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills are required. Must be available to attend local social functions in an official capacity and work some evenings and weekends.
