- Accurately assess and monitor patients requiring RT treatments. Knowledgeable regarding RT medications and the expected outcomes and adverse reactions
- Documentation is complete: Assessment of lungs, treatment, evaluation, care plan, smoking cessation, equipment set-up, supplies and education
- Consults with nursing and physicians to modify plan of care as needed
- Technical skills: O2, PFT’s, EEG, EKG, BAT, UDT, Mist Tent Treatments and Ventilator
- Provide education to patients and families – good communication skills/informs other disciplines as appropriate
- Accurate charges – billing
- Evaluate equipment needs – send requests for faulty equipment. Informs CNO if equipment needed in next budgeted year
- Completes Quality Assurance for the RT Department and updates policy and procedure manual annually
- Complete assignments timely and with accuracy
- Good time management, able to prioritize and is available when needed
