Overview:
The Aviation Maintenance Technical Trainer is responsible for developing an aviation maintenance technical training program for the site and/or enterprise. This position is also responsible for assessing the skills, performance, productivity and talents of employees in the company and preparing and delivering training material.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively work with Maintenance, Quality Control, and various support agencies to achieve desired learning and development outcomes.
Develop training material and requirements to achieve effective learning outcomes in accordance with 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station Training Program requirements.
Schedule, track, plan, coordinate, and organize training events and activities, identify training facilities, prepare classroom, and provide training documents and materials.
Implement computer based training (CBT) as required.
Design and produce technical training videos.
Conducting orientation programs and arranging on-the-job training for new hires
Resolving any specific training needs/problems and tailoring training programs as necessary
Identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training
Maintain all Aviation Maintenance Training records in a state of regulatory compliance.
Maintaining training records, history, courses, and presentations within the company’s current Learning Management System (LMS).
Qualifications:
Current A&P license required
Familiar with employee training processes and procedures.
Strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
Have strong technical background preferably in aviation maintenance.
Ability to create quality presentations, including video, that provide clear and concise information.
Familiarity and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Ability to teach effectively in a classroom environment, keeping students interested and engaged, sometimes in large groups.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, work at a fast pace with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to perform in a fast pace environment with minimum supervision.
Competent and effective working knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc.).
Facilitate training in several areas, to include new hire onboarding and orientation.
Conduct all aviation maintenance training activities as necessary
Video production and editing experience preferred.
Possess Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in technical administration and training.
