DESCRIPTION:
Effective with the 2023-2024 school year.
Direct, recruit, and manage all phases of the operation of the marching band program. This position will provide students with an opportunity to participate in all home football games, some boys’ and girls’ basketball games, and other events as assigned. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: planning and implementation; all teaching and instructions; individual and team leadership and achievement; successful recruitment of students; fundraising; travel and public appearances.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform as a professional educator and role model to enable individual students to develop as student-athletes and to work together successfully; Provide practice and instruction for each member of the athletic band; Effectively organize and arrange music for all the band ensemble and establish clear performance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid West Virginia teaching certificate; licensure in Music PK-Adult, preferred; or WVSSAC Coaching Certification; Experience in marching band performance, preferred.
SALARY:
Pay based on TCBOE Extended Employment/Supplemental/Extracurricular Salary Scale
Salary : $53,600 - $67,900
