What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at Westaff?
Westaff is looking for a first shift Calibration Technician!
Hours: 6am-3pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $15-$20/hour Depending on Experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities or Calibration Technician:
- Calibration of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Uniformity surveys of furnaces, pressure gauges, temperature gauges, transfer standards or masters, dial indicators, NDT equipment, furnace support instruments.
- Maintains records of required re-certification schedules.
- Documenting travelers after operations performed.
- Maintains production standards/quality.
- General department housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with all quality requirements.
- Updating department procedures
Skills/Requirements:
Knowledge: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret blueprints/customer specifications and/or work in-process documents. Ability to use and understand various hand measurement tools. Knowledge of basic electronics.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. At least two (2) years basic inspection, calibration and troubleshooting experience.
