What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Die Cutter-2nd position at Westaff?
Westaff is looking for a 2nd shift Die Cutter in the Wilmington, MA area for Immediate Hire!
** This is either a temp to perm or a Direct Hire!!!!
Payrate: $22-28/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am
Work Location: Wilmington, MA
Key Responsibilities for Digital Die Cutter include:
• Performing critical manual and machine operator tasks as related to finishing operations
• Proper set-up, operation, quality, and changeover of the die cutter operations
• Inspecting labels to ensure they are free of errors and/or defects
• Following procedures for the first article of inspection and all other quality checks
• Assisting in the implementation and sustainment of standard work, 5s, and mistake-proofing in assigned areas
• Identifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean and continuous improvement/modification
• Ensuring processes are clearly managed, followed, monitored, and inspected
• Participating in cross-training with an open and positive attitude
• Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned Finishing equipment
Experience:
• Required: Two or more years in central impression flexographic printing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, as well as stand and bend throughout the shift
• Required: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
• Ability to die cut and finish, while carefully inspect completed labels for errors and defects
• Ability to set up, run, and maintain die cutter machines in an efficient and timely manner
