Westat is seeking a Software developer to become a part of our IT team to develop web, Windows and mobile friendly solutions to support varied business needs, using innovative technologies, tools and Cloud environments.
This is a full time position with flexibility for a partial telework arrangement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participating in the design and development of Web and Windows based business applications.
- Writing clean, functional & secure code.
- Work collaboratively with a Team and communicate well.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or related fields.
- 2 years or more experience in a Web or Software Developer role.
- Experience working with ASP.NET, or other web development frameworks (e.g., Blazor).
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Ajax or JavaScript.
- Experience with any programming language like C#, Java, C or Typescript
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and JavaScript frameworks like VueJS or ReactJS
- Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server and knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and technical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
