Location & Overview:
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking full-time licensed Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC) to provide individual, family, and group addiction treatment in our outpatient substance use treatment program. The positions are based either in our clinic in Hartsdale or in our Mount Vernon clinic, both of which provide outpatient treatment of both substance use and mental health disorders. The work schedule for these positions includes both in person and virtual time.

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is the largest community outpatient mental health provider in Westchester, NY. We treat people with all types of mental health and substance use disorders across the lifespan. Clients receive services through four main clinics located in the Hartsdale, Yonkers, Mt. Vernon, and Peekskill communities of Westchester. WJCS is licensed to provide treatment for substance use disorders through the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). In addition, WJCS has over 88 programs that provide a wide range of supportive community services to more than 20,000 adults, children, and families each year. We work collaboratively with a full multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed practical nurses, social workers, CASACs, care managers, home health aides, education specialists, residential managers, and direct care workers. Our collective mission is to strengthen communities by helping people of all ages and backgrounds overcome emotional, cognitive, physical, and social challenges.
Job Highlights:
- Provide individual, family, and group treatment for clients struggling with substance use disorders and any underlying mental health conditions in outpatient program.
- 100% outpatient treating adults and adolescents.
- Active New York State CASAC license required.
- At least 2 years work experience caring for people with substance use disorders preferred.
- Being bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Collaborate with a full multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers.
- Strong supervision and support built into the program.
- No weekends.

Salary Range:
- $50,000 - $55,000/year.
