What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Manager position at Westchester K-9?

We are looking for a dedicated, loyal and responsible person who LOVES dogs and wants to join our team! Please be able to learn quickly and work independently.
The ideal candidate will be confident around a large group of dogs and self-motivated. Supervising staff members to insure our clients and dogs are receiving top notch service is priority.
Time management, happy, positive outgoing personality and organizational skills are necessary for this position.
- Hiring, training and supervising staff with patience. Understanding that people learn and work differently and being able to troubleshoot is a must.
- Helping to care for the dogs as needed. Taking out, cleaning, feeding, administering meds.
- Keep kennel maintained and follow all protocols.
- Please be drama free, and know how to communicate properly with other team members.
- Punctuality, reliability and regular attendance is priority. Organizing staff schedules to be sure all shifts are covered at all times, especially during our busy seasons (School Holidays/Summer). This means coordinating time off and vacations among co-workers.
- Great customer service skills
- Work effectively with co-workers, and customers
- Able to work as needed; holidays, weekends, occasional evenings in emergencies (short staff, sick workers)
- Coordinate schedules for incoming and outgoing dogs, driving, and staff.
