Provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment; promote children’s progress across NYS standards.
Utilize Creative Curriculum and NYS Early Learning Guidelines.
Ensure the health and safety of children.
Create and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment.
Greet and interact with center children, families and staff in a warm and respectful manner.
Plan and execute activities in accordance with curriculum guides.
Maintain children’s education files.
Monitor and document children’s development.
Communicate with parents, including, but not limited to, parent-teacher conferences, class newsletters and home visits.
Supervise Associate Teachers.
Collaborate with Family Services, Special Education, Health Services as appropriate.
Attend staff & communication Day meetings as required.
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
M.S. in Ed and Birth-2 Certification or within 2 yrs of hire.
Bilingual (Eng./Spanish) preferred
