Job Description
- Track software renewals and identify optimization / savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
- Responsible for maintaining and presenting current Software Asset Management concepts and objectives that align with the strategic goals and standards of the organization.
- Understanding of key contract and licensing terms e.g., audit clauses, license metrics, termination etc.
- Cross functional collaboration with IT, Procurement, and Business Partners to assist in the oversight of license management.
- Lead enterprise wide on-prem and SaaS software licenses through Snow Software asset management tool.
- Responsible for the governance and management of all aspects of the license management function throughout the software asset lifecycle.
- Provide insight into global software inventory and utilization.
- Lead third party providers that assist with ongoing led services of Software Asset Management program.
- Responsible for accuracy of SAM data, including loading of contractual metadata in tool.
- Enhance software tracking and reporting processes, provide input for annual budget planning guidance, develop software control measures and run online service requests
- Respond to requests from end users, internal customers and business partners for specific data.
- Lead vendor SW audits by partnering with internal business collaborators to collect and organize software asset data to assist decision making
- Excellent project Management, planning and organization skills.
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in leading IT / Software asset management program and tools.
- 2 years of managing a team.
- Good understanding of software licensing models, terms and metrics.
- Experience in handling software contracts.
- Background with enterprise and engineering software tools and license metrics a plus.
- Knowledge of Snow Software asset management tool a plus.
- Knowledge in Software compliance reporting and audits.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and verbal / written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 experience in Software Asset Management
- Master's Degree in Information Systems or Business Management.
- Audit Experience: IT, Financial, License and Operational Audits.
- CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) Certificate, PMP (Project Management Professional)
