Key Competencies
Project and Resource Management
- Leads the planning of projects and successful implementation of planning strategies, including the scheduling, resource allocation and execution.
- Manages and evaluates the delivery of project resource requirements and develops methods to monitor the progress of various projects (and changes), providing corrective supervision if necessary.
- Effective use of established policies and procedures to manage projects successfully.
- Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management, and interacts with internal departments on projects as necessary
- Oversee quality management program to achieve a quality project
Client Management
- Defines and delivers appropriate levels of service to the customer through contractual obligations. Interacts regularly with existing and potential clients to determine their needs and develops plans for improving project delivery, as well as identifying new business opportunities.
- Focus on timelines to ensure projects are kept on track/on target making continual adjustments with clients using persuasion and a win/win strategy to keep a project on course.
- Act as a key advocate for the client, and represents client needs as appropriate.
Leadership Qualifications
- Provide leadership to the project team and creates a shared focus on the importance of achieving positive results.
- Prioritizes the team’s work, organizes and delegates assignments to others and anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems and opportunities to change.
- Monitors project and field staff as well as their performance against goals, standards and project commitments and takes corrective action when necessary.
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of construction including but not limited to: methods, technology, materials, tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of field operations and knowledge of building material costs, and ability to manage those costs.
- Proficient knowledge and ability to read, analyze and interpret project specifications and blueprints.
- Must be able to smooth over sensitive situations and resolve issues quickly, be it with employees, clients, or vendors.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 2 years related experience and/training as a Construction Manager.
- Prior management experience running small to medium sized projects
- 2 years supervising others.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
