Responsibilities:
An Assistant Director Program Coordinator typically:
- Assists in the overall operations of the State In-Service Training Program.
- Deliver and certify mandated training to all State of Illinois law enforcement certified police officers.
- Implements policy and procedure for the program.
- Reviews, inspects, and assign mandates to all curriculum.
- Ensures all data entry for program is complete and up to date for quarterly and annual reports.
- Reviews all grant funding for IDOT courses.
- May serve as an assistant to the director for the preparing, implementation and presentation to all state law enforcement agencies for providing in-service training.
- Serves as the expert for the implementation of all in-service training development rules and regulations for State of Illinois law enforcement agencies and confers with ILETSB Manager of In-Service Training.
- Serves as full line supervisor.
- Required Qualifications:
CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Criminal Justice or Public Administration or related field.
- Three (3) years of uninterrupted service as a sworn police officer in the last 10 years.
- Requires at least one (1) year experience in curriculum development within a law enforcement In-Service Training Program.
- Three (3) years experience in a sworn law enforcement capacity, including administration, patrol and specialized assignment.
- LEADS/NCIC certified eligible.
- Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.
- Starting Salary: $5,252 /Monthly
