Specialist, Teacher Services

The School of Teacher Education welcomes applications for the position of Specialist, Teacher Services. This position reports to the Director of the Office of Professional Educator Services (OPES) and support in the following areas:

• Oversees student teaching applications process for all education majors,
• Analyzes student teaching placements to ensure the placement is in compliance with the Education, Professional Standards Board and Kentucky statutes and regulations,
• Evaluates student teaching reports and documents for cooperating teachers and university supervisors at the state and university level,
• Manages departmental budget for Office of Professional Educator Services, including School of Teacher Education's Teacher Induction programs and Educator Connect programs,
• Manages memorandums of agreement with partnering school districts and international study abroad partnerships, ensuring the placements are in compliance with the Education Professional Standards Board and Kentucky statutes and regulations, and
• Collaborate with the Certification Specialist to provide state and national reporting for regulation compliance at both the state and federal levels.

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience working in a K-12 school setting

Salary: $35,568- $35,997
