Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
Pipeline Foreman – DJ Midstream Ops
Job Summary
- This position is in Western Midstream’s DJ Basin asset. The selected candidate will be a member of the Midstream Operations Team and will be located near Platteville, Colorado.
- Candidate will be a Pipeline Foreman working with operations, construction, engineering, control room, measurement technicians, regulatory, and asset integrity to optimize asset value.
- Candidate will collaborate with Midstream, HSSE, Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain and other support groups to ensure operations compliance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant gas, oil and water gathering system operations experience with 2 years of demonstrated leadership ability in team environment.
- Experience with Midstream pipeline operations that relates to cleaner/pigging operations along with hydrate mitigation.
- An understanding of pipeline construction needed for repairs along with new construction requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach for performance.
- Strong PSM/DOT knowledge is preferred.
- Working knowledge of standard construction drawings: P&ID’s, Cause and Effects, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc. preferred.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with engineering, technical peers, vendors, OEM factory support and management.
- Ability to conduct employee performance coaching and to manage personnel and project scheduling.
- Must have strong organization and planning skills and be flexible and able to manage through change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills required.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. SAP experience recommended.
- Basic understanding of operating principles and maintenance requirements of liquid measurement (LACT) units.
Responsibilities
- Oversee employees involved in the maintenance and operation of pipeline systems.
- Ensure the safety of work practices, procedures and protection of the environment, including compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with the senior foremen, supervisors and superintendent on all aspects of Operations.
- Coordinate field activities from daily work activities to project work.
- Manage employees involved in the maintenance and operation of pipeline systems.
- Ensure communications with the IOC and other teams is consistent and supports APC’s goals.
- Supervise / inspect work performed by employees and/or contractors on gathering and transmission pipelines to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
- Ensure the coordination of the work to optimize transportation, minimize downtime, and optimize production, and control environmental and safety risks to acceptable levels.
- Direct the work activities of company and contract personnel on daily operations tasks as well as coordinating the activities of other field work such as small construction and maintenance crews.
- Mentor midstream operators (WES and supplemental) in facility operations and pipeline performance monitoring including troubleshooting.
- Acts as liaison between the field personnel and other functional support groups - production, completions, engineering, construction and other operations teams.
- Provide operational input on project design and hazard analysis.
- Assist with budget preparation and control costs.
- Prepare bid documents and maintain costs for all phases of midstream operations such as pipeline operations, facility operations and construction projects.
- Work with company databases and programs such as iMAPS, CygNet, SAP, etc.
- Provide support for other supervisory personnel including vacation relief.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Relocation
This position is not eligible for relocation. Candidate must live within 60 miles of Platteville, CO

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%
Work Schedule
This position is on a 40 hour / week schedule 9-hour Monday – Thursday, 4-hour Friday with 24/7on call rotation.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $97,400 - $146,100; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in the Western Midstream Cash Bonus Program, plus offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.
