Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Accounting Specialist - Operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of accounting analyses and prepare accounting work papers and related reports; write computerized journal entries as required; perform a variety of technical accounting duties relative to area of assignment; and serve as backup to other accounting positions within the department. Perform grant accounting functions, manage cardholder access and credit limits, reconcile Title IV transactions, all bank statements, and general ledger accounts. Lead assigned projects. Must follow college billing and refund policies, institutional, FERPA, and GLBA confidentiality regulations, and Federal Title IV cash management regulations.
Qualifications:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major course work in accounting, business or a related field and four years of increasingly responsible technical clerical accounting experience.
Salary:
Commensurate.
Start Date:
Immediate.
