Description
As a member of the administrative staff, the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Community Engagement serves to support the Student Life Office and DEIB efforts in the creation of a campus community that is welcoming, safe, and exciting for all members of the student body. General responsibilities include supporting the Student Life Office to ensure student wellbeing, compliance with school standards, social/emotional growth, and the fostering of belonging. This position also actively engages in all aspects of campus life, including athletic coaching and serving as a member of the residential life staff.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with Director of Student Activities and Dean of Academics to strengthen to support service and class opportunities.
Collaborate with the Associate Dean of DEIB and multiple departments to monitor then implement necessary support for students.
Support Student Life Office in student orientation and the opening of school.
Collaborate with the other members of the Student Life Office team to strengthen and develop residential life curriculum and support students.
Assist the Associate Dean of Student Affairs on managing daily operations such as attendance, student wellness, and database checks.
Serve as class dean.
Serve as faculty advisor to one of the WRA student leadership groups and Student DEI committee; including, but not limited to student affinity groups.
Perform Administrator on Duty functions as part of a team of fellow colleagues on a weekly and weekend rotational basis
Serve on a dorm duty crew.
Serve as an advisor or shadow an advisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, organization behavior, social work, or related field; advanced studies/ master’s degree preferred.
Three to five years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably with an educational institution or non-profit organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of/experience in boarding school environment.
