Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate

The full-time delivery driver /warehouse associate is responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients. Must work carefully and deliberately with an eye toward detail in a fast-paced and lively business environment. With this position, you have the opportunity to grow and learn new skills and expand to more responsibilities.

Western Safety Products is a Seattle, Washington-based distributor of safety equipment and supplies. We provide safety equipment for local, national, and international work forces.

Duties & Responsibilities: main tasks include the following:

• Loading, transporting and delivering items to clients/businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Pulling and reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges correct, the customer satisfied.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, handling complaints.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Use technology to capture signatures, scan packages, put way inventory, pull and review orders, count inventory.
• Prepare reports or other required documents related to deliveries
• Receive and put away inventory in the warehouse, continuously organizing and improving systems.
• Shift hours: M-F 8:30-4:30pm.

Qualifications:

• Valid current driver's license and clean driving record. (must present actual driving record at the interview. Any cost will be reimbursed.)
• 1 year relevant work experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is a plus, or an eagerness to learn.
• Can you drive a fork lift?
• Must be able to communicate in English, be punctual,

Expectations:

• Be a safe, courteous driver who cares about our customers.
• Learn our ERP software and use technology for many aspects of the job. Must be comfortable with technology and know your way around a keyboard.
• Must be detail oriented with an eye for discrepancies, catching problems, seeing what needs to be done, taking action or getting help as required.
• Deal with errors and corrections appropriately, and work with sales and accounting departments to develop new methods for precision and smoother workflow.
• Be able to deal with interruptions in your work to answer questions from fellow employees and pull will call orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
