What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Lead position at Western Washington University?
Anticipated work schedule: 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday with some weekends and extended hours based on the course materials cycle and other store needs.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including solo-lifting and moving up to 45 lbs. and team lift (2 person) up to 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- One year of full-time experience in retail clerking, warehousing, stock keeping, shipping, or receiving.
- Experience with electronic retail inventory control system or electronic stockroom management system or equivalent systems experience
- Effective interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal skills.
- Proven ability to work with a variety of constituents toward a common goal.

- Two years relevant experience in retail or shipping department.
- Ability to use Excel spreadsheets and maintain logs.
- Knowledge of and experience with freight and other carriers.
- Knowledge of Prism retail system or other inventory management system.
