SUMMARY

Westlake Chemical is offering an opportunity to apply your experience and skills as a Maintenance / E&I Planner based in Longview, Washington.

The Maintenance / E&I Planner is a salaried exempt position with no supervisory responsibilities. This position concentrates on planning future work in order to provide the maintenance department with a backlog of work that is planned and ready to execute.

All plans are developed for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound repairs of the equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning all preventative and corrective maintenance work orders utilizing the SAP PM system

Supports and carries out company policies and adheres to maintenance standards and procedures.

Planning the general strategy of the work, but allowing the mechanics / electricians to use their expertise to complete the specified work.

Plan jobs using the SAP system; assign task, estimated hours, manpower, parts, and equipment, specify trade, and all necessary information.

Acquire quotes for all non-stock parts.

Work with the storeroom / purchases to procure all parts and materials as required

Acquire bids for all needed contractor services and process invoices

Update equipment database, spare parts and BOM information as required.

Initiate the MOC process when required.

Work closely with OMC on prioritizing and scheduling work.

Reviewing the work management system on a periodic basis.

Updating work management system processes as required.

Closes all completed work orders in SAP as required, including hours on specified task, and any necessary notes.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years’ work experience as a mechanic, pipefitter or electrician, or as an electrical or maintenance planner

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, good planning and organizational skills

Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling

Proficiency with Windows based software (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required

Experience with SAP preferred

Ability to work independently to resolve issues or problems on a day-to-day basis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $145,000.

This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset.

Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel;

reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.

May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
