Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
Assistant Administrator of Home Health and Hospice Services is responsible for the day to day direction, coordination and management of home health, home care, and hospice programs.
Responsibility spans development, organization, implementation and evaluation of WCAH programs in accordance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation, CHAP Standards of Excellence, Virginia State licensure requirements, and the policies and procedures of WCAH.
Monitors business operations to ensure financial stability, accurate billing and cash collection, and ensure financial targets for WCAH are met or exceeded.
Works closely with outreach team to help them exceed their goals.
Maintains efficient work environment with high annual employee engagement ratings.
Ensure appropriate staff supervision during all operating hours. Appointing a similarly qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the administrator.
Manages and schedules self in the on-call rotation.
Informing the governing body, staff and professional advisory group of current organizational, community, and industry trends.
Ensuring staff development including orientation, in-service education, continuing education, competency testing and performance improvement.
Insuring that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Typically working in an office environment, may work in client's home, and requires visits to personal homes and travel required.
