Westminster Christian Academy is an independent, non-denomination, K3-12 school serving over 900 students in the beautiful heart of Acadiana. Our robust athletic program includes tennis, football, basketball, track, cross country, baseball, golf, volleyball, soccer, and swimming.

This position is considered a key leadership role within the athletic department as well as an ambassador of WCA to the community. As Head Basketball Coach at Westminster Christian Academy, you will have the incredible opportunity of helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women. The Head Basketball Coach provides leadership and overall direction of the basketball team including oversight for scheduling, budget, purchasing, marketing, fundraising, and facilities management. The Head Basketball Coach will also serve as a full time faculty member in a specific discipline.
Requirements
The Head Basketball Coach shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ with excellence in every activity. The Head Basketball Coach position requires a background in coaching varsity or college basketball. The Head Basketball Coach will also fulfill teaching responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Preferred minimum of 12 hours of educational methods courses and 12 hours in a specific discipline (content area) or hold a degree in education from an accredited college or university
• 3 years experience as a head coach
• Be able to meet certification requirements for state approval for non-public schools
• Willingness to develop policies and enhance success for the total program and overall benefit and mission of Westminster Christian Academy
• Exhibit Christ-like behavior
